About Emily Dobrowski Lindberg, lCSW

You don’t have to carry this all on your own.

I’m an Austin-based therapist specializing in anxiety and trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. I work with college students, emerging adults, and professionals who are ready to break free from old patterns.

Looking for a therapist and starting therapy is the hardest part. It also means you’re resilient.

I want you to know that seeking out therapy means that you are ready to change behaviors that no longer serve you.

How I work

At its core, my approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that everyone has the tools within themselves; sometimes, we just need help reclaiming them.

My goal for all clients is to leave the therapy room feeling lighter, empowered, and armed with the tools to find greater balance outside the room.

As a warm and collaborative therapist, I'm here to guide you through the journey. Together, we'll create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment.

In therapy with me, we'll work together to unpack your unique history and past traumas, explore the root causes of your struggles, and empower you to make positive changes in your life. While we'll confront difficult emotions and truths, we'll also celebrate your wins and find moments of humor and joy along the way.

With experience working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, I bring insight and techniques from multiple theories, including attachment, psychodynamic, and interpersonal neurobiology, to provide a deeper understanding of the feelings, thoughts, and behaviors you bring into therapy. My role is to guide and experience with you, not lead or follow. In doing so, I hope you leave each session with actionable insights you can implement outside the room to build the life you want to live.

Outside of my clinical practice, I enjoy exploring the Austin outdoors with my husband and our dogs, playing soccer and pickleball with friends, traveling, and watching reality TV.

Before pursuing a career in mental health, I worked in financial services, marketing, and nonprofit fundraising, which has given me a unique perspective on the challenges teens, emerging adults, and adults face during life and career transitions.

Thank you for considering me as your therapist. I look forward to the opportunity to work together and help you achieve your goals.
